Brett Lee Swaggerty, 16, of Adel died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at his home after lengthy illness. He was born on March 25, 1993 in Orlando, Florida and had lived in this area for several years. He attended Cook County High School and the Adel Church of God. Brett enjoyed his friends from school and loved baseball. He was a ray of sunshine that touched many lives and he loved everyone and was a mama's boy.
Survivors include his parents, Joann and Frank Alvarado, his brother, Matthew Alvarado, his sister, Brooklyn Alvarado all of Adel, his grandparents, Donnie and Martha Russ of Hahira, Fred and Paulette Swaggerty, Aurora Alvarado all of Apopka, Fla., several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Friday, March 12, 2010 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery Annex in Adel.
